Nolan Arenado (32), a major league (MLB) St. Louis Cardinals’ signature hitter and the best third baseman in his career, hit 300 homers in his career.

Arenado started as the 4th batter and 3rd baseman in the away game against the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2023 MLB regular season held at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA on the 9th (Korean time) and scored 2 hits (1 home run) and 3 RBIs in 3 at-bats. He played a big role, leading St. Louis to a 6-0 victory. Arenado, who added one home run in this game, also achieved a record of hitting his 300th home run in his career.

In his first at-bat, Arenado hit a fly ball to center field against Milwaukee starter Eric Lauer and recorded a sacrifice fly to bring home a runner on third base. The 300th home run came in the second at-bat from second base with no out at the end of the third inning when St. Louis led 2-0. On a 1-ball-0 strike with a ball count, he pulled Lauer’s changeup that went into the middle.

Arenado, who made his debut in the 2013 season, established himself as the league’s representative big shot by hitting 42 in the 2015 season and 41 in the 2016 season, which was the third year of his debut. Afterwards, he continued to record more than 30 homers, except for the 2020 season, when he played a mini-season (60 games per team) due to the corona pandemic. Having hit 299 until last season, he decorated his first arch with his personal career No. 300 after 8 games this season. 토토사이트

The 300 home run is the eighth record for an active player. Arenado, who won the Gold Glove for third baseman in the National League (NL) for 10 consecutive years from the 2013 season, was also named as the 8th player to achieve 300 personal home runs and 10 Gold Glove awards at the same time. Prior to that, only Willie Mays, Ken Griffey Jr., Mike Schmidt, Al Kaline, Johnny Bench, Ivan Rodriguez, and Andrew Jones had broken this record. He also became the 7th player ever to hit 300 home runs in a St. Louis uniform.

After leading 4-0 with Arenado’s homer, St. Louis ran away again with rookie Jordan Walker hitting an extra two-run homer. The pitchers also pitched well, with starting pitcher Jordan Montgomery recording 7 scoreless innings, winning 6-0.
