‘Consecutive video reading misjudgment’ KOVO, emergency meeting completed “If an error is found immediately after reading, it can be corrected”

The Korean Volleyball Federation (KOVO) issued an apology for the video reading misjudgment that occurred in the V-League and came up with measures to prevent recurrence in the future.

On the 11th, KOVO said, “We had an emergency countermeasure meeting on the 9th regarding controversies related to consecutive video readings, 안전놀이터 such as the recent KB Insurance net touch, KGC Ginseng Corporation’s transmission of misojangmyeon, and Hyundai Capital’s four-hit related reading corrections.” “We apologize for the confusion caused during the process, and we issued a stern warning to the head of the game operation office and the head of the referee, taking responsibility for training and management.”

As reported by KOVO, the recent V-League has been constantly bursting with noise in the video review process and results. The beginning was the KB Insurance-Korea Electric Power Exhibition held in Uijeongbu on the 27th of last month. At the time, when a misjudgment came out regarding the net touch, manager Hu In-jeong was very angry. The very next day, on the 28th, in the match between Hyundai Capital and OK Financial Group, coach Tae-Woong Choi was kicked out of the set for protesting about the overnet, and watched the next game from the stands.

On the 6th, in the women’s division Korea Expressway Corporation-KGC Ginseng Corporation match, there was even an unfunny happening in which the decision was made through an unexpected scene rather than a scene requested for a video review during the video review process.

Regarding this, KOVO said, “In the future, the federation plans to conduct the review process carefully by using multi-angle review screens when reviewing videos. We decided on a guide that can be corrected through a reconfirmation process limited to screen(s).” 안전놀이터

Lastly, “The federation plans to take this case as a lesson and make every effort to make an accurate judgment, and in order to ensure a smoother operation in relation to the operation of video reading, thoroughly educate the game/judges and referees to prevent recurrence.” We plan to do our best.”
