Novak Djokovic (Serbia, 5th place), who boasts a strong side in Australia, advanced to the singles final in the opening game of the Men’s Professional Tennis (ATP) tour.

Djokovic defeated Danil Medvedev (Russia, 7th place) 2-0 (6-3 6-4) in the singles semifinals of the ATP Tour Adelaide International held in Adelaide, Australia on the 7th.

Djokovic will face Sebastian Koda (USA, 33rd) in the final held on the 8th at 4:00 pm Korean time.

Koda withdrew from Yoshihito Nishioka (Japan, 36th) in the semifinals.

Koda, who won the tiebreak in the first set 7-5, took a game score of 1-0 in the second set as well. During the second set, Nishioka withdrew due to right leg pain, and Koda secured a ticket to the final.

Djokovic is on the verge of winning the season opener on the Australian court, which he returned to for the first time in about a year. 메이저놀이터

He arrived at Melbourne Airport in early January of last year to participate in the Australian Open, but was unable to enter the country due to the aftermath of not being vaccinated against Corona 19.

Despite two lawsuits against the Commonwealth of Australia, Djokovic was eventually deported and forced to return to Serbia.

Although Australia eased entry restrictions related to Corona 19 in July of last year, it was unclear whether Djokovic would participate in the Australian Open as those who were deported from the country due to visa cancellation under Australia’s current law were in principle banned from entering the country for three years.

When the Australian government allowed Djokovic to enter the country, Djokovic stepped on Australian soil in about a year.

This is the first time Djokovic and Koda will face each other.

Koda is the younger sister of Jessica Koda and Nellie Koda, who are active on the LPGA tour.

The father of the Koda siblings is Petr Koda, who won the Australian Open singles in 1998 and rose to world No. 2.

In the women’s professional tennis (WTA) tour Adelaide International singles final, which is being held together, Arina Savalenka (Belarus, 5th) and Linda Noskova (Czech Republic, 102nd) face each other.
